Information on Ships and Cruising

The following sites are well worth visiting for more information on ships and on cruising on ships.

www.shipsworldwide.net offers books and CD's on many different shipping topics.

The book, “Ships Worldwide: What Ship is That?” is for people who love ships – large or  small. It contains over 160 colour photos of vessels – merchant, naval and sail. These images and captions complement the text descriptions of all types of ships. “Ships Worldwide” is a 208 page hard cover A4 size book printed in heavy gloss paper. This book also has a colour section on ship liveries, covering over 100 shipowners worldwide.

In addition there is a section on historic, preserved and replica ships as well as a chapter dealing in family history via migrant ships and troopships. A useful bibliography section – including websites - is accompanied by a comprehensive index. As a result “Ships Worldwide” has something for everybody who is interested in ships and the sea.

"Ships Worldwide" covers all kinds of ships. It would make a wonderful “bon voyage” gift for people going on a cruise.
